Concrete Leveling Services

Mudjacking

“Mudjacking” is also known as “slab jacking”. This is a method we use to level concrete where we pump a slurry mixture of sand, lime, and portland cement under existing concrete to level things out. Mudjacking can be used in a variety of applications: driveways, sidewalks, pool decks, garage floors, patios, streets, office floors, factory floors, and parking lots.

Process for Lifting – Mudjacking
Step 1 – Strategically placed holes are drilled through the sunken slab
Step 2 – Hydraulically pump a slurry mixture of sand, lime, and portland cement under the settled concrete. Fill voids and lift the concrete as close to the original position as possible.
Step 3 – The drilled holes are patched with cement.

Polyurethane Foam Foundation Leveling

Polyurethane and Mudjacking are almost identical. The main difference is in the material injected through the concrete slab. This type of leveling is based on pushing polyurethane foam below the surface and into your foundation. The foam is pushed in at a higher pressure than mudjacking. The foam expands into the voids and then lifts the concrete.

Poly costs more than mudjacking, but it is also stronger and lasts longer than mudjacking. Another positive is that poly can cure as fast a half an hour.

Process for Lifting – Polyurethane
Step 1 – Strategically placed holes are drilled through the sunken slab
Step 2 – Inject a two part polyurethane foam to fill voids, stabilize soil and lift concrete as close to the original position as possible.
Step 3 – The drilled holes are patched with cement.

Foundation Repair

We offer two methods for foundation repair: Concrete Pressed Pilings and Steel Piers.

Concrete Pressed Pilings: This is the most cost effective method of foundation repair. We start by digging a 3’x3′ hole beneath the grade beam of home. Using the weight of the house, we hydraulically drive the cylinder into the ground until we reach bedrock and/or load bearing strata.

Steel Piers: Steel Piers go deeper than other piers. Using a hydraulic ram and the weight of the home, we push the steel pipe sections to load bearing strata. Once the structure has been lifted as close to original position as possible, we will use steel shims to fine level the structure, fill the holes and clean up.
